Keina's Spring Celebration

Spring is in the air! 

Cherry blossoms abloom!

How can I possibly resist not going out when the weather is fine and sunny (though a bit windy)? So early in the morning, after her nap at home, we took off to the nearby Kinuta Park 砧公園 to check out the flowers 花見.

Dear Keina was in a bit of a curious mood at first when I set her down on the mat. She stared up at the beautiful pinkish white cherry blossoms swaying in the wind. Their intricate branches- a captivating abstract sight set against the clear blue skies. So blue it makes me want to brake into a Mary Poppins song. 

But alas, midway through my 鮭すし弁当 salmon sushi lunch box, she started to fuss. Sigh. I don't think she has that much of a taste for the great outdoors. She didn't look to comfortable but I guess it must be difficult to enjoy the scenery when you are so immobile. Maybe when she starts to toddle next year, she might enjoy it more. As for me, I always love being able to take in some fresh air. It is a tad tiresome to go there- a 15min walk to just the entrance, but nonetheless, the short time outside was invigorating for me. Am going to try to do it again this weekend with Naoki and maybe I will feel less stressed with someone sharing all the barang barang.
