Woke last Tue morning and felt something hard around the top of my belly and got a sinking feeling again. Oh dear, could that be Puchi's head again!?
Then Wed afternoon, I went to my heat therapist whom I go for acupuncture and things. She wasn't too sure either but through feeling my belly, thought my guess was quite possible. And hearing that, I went into a mini head spin. It got me upset again. And I felt really bad about it. WHY was a big question in my mind.
The therapist checked my pulse (for the 3rd time) and in her diagnosis, reckons it is a boy and she had this advice: Tell your baby that whether it is a boy or girl, you are happy. She could sense that somehow, emotionally, I am expecting a lil girl but if it was already a boy, Puchi was reading my feelings from inside and feeling sad and thus restless about it.
When I heard that very possible reasoning, I felt my heart clench. I am not one who likes to be prejudiced but I have been somewhat doing that unconsciously to my unborn child! I realised that it was really not a matter of just vocalizing that I don't mind the sex but I have to embrace that thought with love wholeheartedly. I felt like I have been such a cheat all this time. And it is not that I prefer a lil boy or girl. It is just that I suppose I am a lil insecure about interacting with a lil boy when I have been such a girl's girl all my life.
Anyway, after the revelation, I popped straight to my midwives place which was nearby and to our relief, Puchi was still in the right position and I was paranoid. But the big lesson from Puchi was I left learning how I need to embrace Puchi for all that he or she is or will be. It is not just Que Sera Sera but also accepting my lil soul inside with an open heart.
Thank you Puchi. Mama understands.
