Her umbilical chord has fallen off!
She is officially 'detached' from me. Haha.. well, there is still a long way to go when she finally grows up and goes on her own way but I feel she is coming into her own character slowly. We don't really know where she learns it from but her stare is really intense and curious. In that sense, very captivating.
Nothing very significant today but my body is beginning to feel the ache of struggling and wrestling with her at each feed. At about 8 to 9 feeds a day, this can get to quite an arm workout. I am starting to find my hidden biceps. And to those whom I have mentioned that the birth experience felt like 2 marathons- well, I realized that motherhood is even more taxing than the birth! Geez, I need a full body massage! Where is Naoki? haha.. I should leave that poor fella alone really. He is tired from all the office work that he hardly gets to spend time with us though he very much wants to.
As for me, I am starting to feel like a yellow-faced woman. I look like shit! hahaha.. it can't be helped I know but it is seeping into my subconscious. I dreamt that Naoki was flirting with a much younger chick this afternoon. But of course, it is not that I don't trust him but rather I think I am feeling shit about myself. Hmm.. once my confinement month is up, I have to somehow plan a trip to a hair salon! I don't know how I may do it but I will at least try.
