Just you and me, baby.

Breastfeeding is indeed an amazing experience. Despite its challenges and physical pain, it is the only thing that makes me most aware that I am a mother.

The comfort it brings to her when she calms down.

The beautiful fluttering of her long lashes as she concentrates on her feed.

Her quiet form as she relaxes into my arms.

Her warm, heavy body in the middle of a cool winter night.

Her stubby nose flaring to breathe hard.

Her wide-open bright eyes as she stares up at me innocently.

Her fine, soft, silky brown hair that feels luxurious to stroke.

Her scent of drool, sweat and milk.

Her cute hands gently pushing against my chest to 'hold' me down.

Her heaving chest against mine.

No other moment makes me feel so alive and so in love. That is why as long as she doesn't fuss, I never mind waking up in the middle of the night to feed her. However difficult it is to handle her, when she settles at the breast, she once again becomes my beautiful angel that I would never want to let go.
