Since I started Keina on a night routine (Bath, Book, Breastfeed, Bed) I find that she is much easier. At least she becomes calm once I bring her into the bathroom even though she gets quite fussy in the evenings. It is as if she is excited about the change of environment and looking forward to the bath.
As for me, I look forward to reading to her and although it doesn't quite make a lot of sense, Dr Seuss books are very fun to read aloud as it has a nice rhythm and interesting pictures so I don't get bored no matter how many times I read the same "Marvin K Mooney Will You Please Go Now" story.
Today, Naoki happened to be around at her storybook time which is usually around 7:45pm. It is rare cos there is no way he gets home by that time on weekdays. So today, Keina enjoyed a special double dose of storytelling by both of us. Of all the things I hope for her, I really wish that she learns the joy of reading as my father passed onto me.
