Move that body

She is a very careful person it seems.

Her first crawls started early but she seldom crawled more than two steps before she sat up to survey the surroundings. But once she has adequately assessed the territory (say for about 10 days?) she takes off. She now goes from the bedroom, down the corridor, across the dining room and into the kitchen.

Her first pull ups only began when she arrived here in SG. Oh, the gleeful joy on her face when she is up against the bedside. She wobbles front and back like how she bobs whilst sitting. It's probably because her balance is not that firm yet but she enjoys the wobbling. Then she started cruising along the lengthside of the bed, patting the mattress with her hands as she moves along, as if checking to see if it is as solid as she is.

She can get up but what about getting down?

Well, she took a few days to figure that the soft mattress protects her little tushie. She lowers herself cautiously at the beginning. Softly bending the knees. Gently bending those elbows. But with confidence, she throws herself down wantonly, and lands with a thud. Then when she feels more mischievious, she flops backwards and lies flat with arms wide open. From being upright to being horizontal- all in one swift motion. The wordless yet cheeky smile of satisfaction on her face makes my mom worry with her knotted eyebrows but the mom in me (who is enjoying being a mom on vacation) just grins.

Her favorite pull up spots in the house?

Bedroom bed. Open luggage. Bedroom side table. Corner of our ex-telephone table. Living room coffee table. Massage chair legrest. Round seat cushion. Kitchen high chair. Back of a monstrous sofa. Back of any chair.

Though the image is blurred cos I am bad at capturing movement shots, I love the picture here. It's her explorer look.
